This year, daWorks Music Publishing, The Woods, and BYRÅ are hosting Song Farm Fresh for the first time. Song Farm Fresh is a side camp of Song Farm aimed at up and coming talents. Song Farm has become one of Scandinavia’s largest, oldest, and most renowned songwriting camps, celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2025. It brings together some of the best Nordic and international professional songwriters and artists from various record labels, music publishers, and management companies.

We aim to do the same with Song Farm Fresh for the next generation of songwriters and artists. The goal is to create great songs with specific artists while helping participants expand their Norwegian and international networks. We focus on writing hit songs in pop, R&B, hip-hop, and EDM genres. Song Farm Fresh 2025 is organized with support from the Norwegian Music Publishers Association.

Song Farm Fresh 2025 will take place from Friday, 13th June, to Sunday, 15th June, at the idyllic Norwegian-owned Saltögården on Saltö, just south of Strömstad, Sweden (about a two-hour drive from Oslo). The island is a nature reserve connected by a bridge at the outermost edge of the archipelago facing Kosterfjorden. The houses at Saltögården are equipped with grand pianos.

The participation fee is EUR 426 per person, which includes bus transport, accommodation in shared rooms, meals, snacks, drinks, and participation.

Most participants will join our bus to Song Farm Fresh. The bus departs from the Opera House (seaside at Oslo S, a short walk from the Airport Express Train) on Friday, 13th June, at 7 PM and returns on Sunday, 15th June, at 7 PM (arriving in Oslo around 9.30 PM). The Airport Express Train between Oslo Airport (OSL) and Oslo S takes 19 minutes. All participants arrive at Song Farm Fresh on Friday evening, with writing sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Check-out is after lunch on Sunday.

At Song Farm Fresh, songwriters and artists from the pop music scene in Norway and abroad will participate. Song Farm Fresh is a co-writing camp, where the main focus is collaborating with artists and writing for their specific recording projects. 11 new teams of 3-4 songwriters/artists are announced each morning. During the day, a new song is written and presented in plenary sessions at 10:00 PM. The next day, participants rotate to work with new people.

Each team consists of a producer responsible for creating the song demo, collaborating with an artist and 1–2 topliners (melody/lyrics). After the camp, all songs are shared with participants for private use. We strive for a 50/50 gender balance among participants.

• 7:00 PM: Bus departs Oslo for Song Farm (departure from the Opera House, 2-minute walk from Oslo S)

• 9:30 PM: Official camp start – Meet and Greet

Saturday, 14th June:

• 9:00 AM: Breakfast with artist presentations

• 10:00 AM: Team songwriting sessions

• 2:00 PM: Lunch – “DIY Smörgåsbord”

• 3:00 PM: Songwriting continues

• 8:00 PM: Dinner

• 10:00 PM: Listening session

Sunday, 15th June:

• 9:00 AM: Breakfast with artist presentations

• 9:30 AM: Team songwriting sessions

• 1:00 PM: Lunch – “DIY Smörgåsbord”

• 2:00 PM: Songwriting continues

• 5:30 PM: Dinner, deadline, and listening session

• 7:00 PM: Bus departs Saltö for Oslo
